December "Run Every Day" Challenge

I may not be competitive, but I'm always up for a challenge.  I'm going to approach this challenge with an appreciation for the act of running and gratitude for the ability to take on this challenge.  Running has gotten me through some fairly tough times in my life and connected me with some of the best friends I've ever met.

The challenge hasn't officially started, but I decided to get a jump start on Thanksgiving morning.  I only ran a quick 2 miles, but I ran it without my watch and without expectations other than to appreciate the blue skies, sun, brisk wind and the beautiful place we call home.  Sometimes the most beautiful things are right in front of you and you forget to look and actually "see" them.  I took time this Thanksgiving morning to do just that, to see what I often overlook.

There are a lot of things in my life that I'm grateful for, but the ability to run is a big one.  Running helps me to "see" all of the other things in my life that should not be overlooked and for that, I am thankful.
